Since mid-game decisions won’t exist in this game (see Problem #2), we need to avoid net decking. Which cards you play in what order then depends on the deck shuffle and opponent. The fun in the game then comes from playing cards instead where you interactively have to decide what and how to play. This means looking on the internet for and copying the “best” deck. Deck BuildingĪ common problem that TCGs run into is “ net decking”. Then we will examine what other issues come up with using the typical elements of the TCG genre as we attempt to adjust it. To tackle this design goal, let’s look at two specific problems that arise from having a non-interactive deck battle.
